The Unbelievable Damages Smoking Did To The Heart Of A Man Who Smoke

Smoking is responsible for more than 480,000 deaths per year in the United States, including more than 41,000 deaths resulting from secondhand smoke exposure.

This is about one in five deaths annually, or 1,300 deaths every day. On average, smokers die 10 years earlier than nonsmokers.

In human biology class I got the rare opportunity to hold a preserved human lung from a non smoker. It was hard, full & heavy while still being red in colour.

I also got to hold a 5 year smokers lung, it was black & green. It was soft and spongy with holes in it. This was more than enough reason to turn me off from smoking for life.
