Beyonce Reportedly Rejects Kim Kardashian’s Baby Gifts For Her Newborn Twins

American megastar musician and new mum, BeyoncĂ©, has reportedly rejected one set of presents already… and it’s from Kim Kardashian.

As reported by the MSN, the 35-year-old Mrs. Jay Z is rumored to have rejected the goodies sent by Kim Kardashian after she gave birth to her twins, giving them away to hospital staff instead.

A source told Heat magazine, “Kim sent one of her KKW contouring kits, in a gold box, worth $150,000.

“She thought that, because they weren’t even out yet, Bey would love it.
“She also sent about $10,000 worth of clothes for BeyoncĂ©’s older child, Blue Ivy, from her and Kanye’s sold-out children’s fashion line, while she also had some pieces specially tailored for the infants.”

Explaining that she didn’t want to hold on to the presents, the insider said: “Bey gave them to the nurses in the hospital for their kids.”

“It looks like a bit of a snub from the mother-of-three, but a kind gesture all the same to give the loot away to the nurses,” someone had reflected.

Abuja Men Urged Women To Stop Eyebrows Carving Because It Makes Them Look Unattractive

Concerned men in Abuja today expressed displeasure at women’s distortion of their eyebrows from their natural shape, saying that it makes them to look older, artificial, weird and unattractive.
The men said that the fashion trend should be discouraged.
It is now trendy for women to shape, trim, shave or carve their eyebrows.
The various styles include feather, barbwire and dragon.
Mr Denis Chijoke, a civil servant, said that he found the distortion repulsive, especially when done by girls.
“ I don’t know where these girls got this beauty tip from, and I wonder why they quickly embrace any trend, not minding if it fits them or not.
“`Some of the shapes on their faces look very repulsive and make them to look older,’’ he said.
Similarly, Mr Idris Danjuma, a resident of FCT, said that carving of eyebrows makes ladies to look unreal.
“The manner with which some of these ladies draw their brows makes them to look ridiculous, rather than beautiful,’’ he said.
He said that the trend was alien, and appealed to women to stop the distortion and embrace fashion trends that were Nigerian and natural.
A hairdresser, Mr Isaac Daniel, however, said that the fashion trend had become popular among women of different ages, social classes and religions.
“This trend has been embraced by most women to the extent that you rarely find ladies who do not carve their brows.
“It makes some women to look glamorous,’’ he said.
A makeup artist, Miss Esther Seriki, said that she had much patronage from ladies.
Seriki said she also trained women in eyebrow carving.
“There are different types of brow carving, which I teach my students as well as do for customers. It depends on their occasions, facial structure and their specifications,’’ Seriki said.
According to her, she realises more than N100,000 monthly from the business, which she said had been able to support her post graduate education.
She advised unemployed persons to empower themselves with skills that would enable them to generate revenue.
A banker, Miss Bola Ayomide, said trimming her brow gave her a better and cleaner look.
According to her, some eyebrows are bushy.
“I am used to trimming and carving my brows rather than leave them full and untidy; this enhances my looks,’’ Ayomide said.

MAN UTD CONFIRM LUKAKU DEAL WITH EVERTON

The 24-year-old will reunite with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford after the Red Devils agreed to pay around £75 million to sign him from the Toffees
Manchester United have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Everton to sign Romelu Lukaku in a blockbuster deal.

Lukaku, 24, will reunite with former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford for a reported £75 million fee.

United had targeted Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata to help fill the void left by last season's top goalscorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who did not have his contract renewed following a serious knee injury suffered in April.

But Mourinho and United have turned to Belgium international Lukaku to try to fix their scoring woes, having only found the back of the net on 54 occasions in the Premier League last term – the lowest tally among the top seven teams.

Although Chelsea made an attempt to lure him back to Stamford Bridge by matching United's bid, the Red Devils confirmed they have reached a deal for Lukaku, who must still agree personal terms and pass a medical.

Lukaku spearheaded Everton to seventh position in 2016-17 with 25 Premier League goals as he finished second behind Golden Boot winner Harry Kane.

The former Chelsea youngster spent a year under Mourinho at Stamford Bridge before he was sold in 2014.

Following an initial loan spell at Everton, Lukaku scored 53 Premier League goals for the Toffees and 71 in all competitions.

The former West Brom loanee hit 26 goals in all competitions last season were the most by an Everton player since Gary Lineker's 40-goal haul in 1985-86.

Since debuting for Belgium in 2010, the former Anderlecht star has scored 20 goals in 57 international appearances.

ROONEY ARRIVES AT EVERTON TRAINING GROUND AHEAD OF MEDICAL

The 31-year-old England captain fell out of favour at Old Trafford last season and will return to his boyhood idols
Wayne Rooney has arrived at Everton's training ground to undergo his medical as he closes on a return to his first club.

The Manchester United star and the club's all-time top scorer is set to rejoin the Toffees after 13 years away from Merseyside, where he first shone as a teenage prodigy.

Captain for club and country, the 31-year-old was reduced to a bit-part role under Jose Mourinho at United last season and also lost his place in Gareth Southgate's England squad.

Rooney joined United from Everton for £27m on the back of stunning displays at Euro 2004 and went on to win five Premier League titles, four League Cups and the 2015-16 FA Cup on his way to a personal tally of 253 goals.

He starred as United won their third Champions League in 2007-08, before going on to claim glory in the FIFA Club World Cup. His last act as a United player is likely to be a substitute appearance as they defeated Ajax in last season's Europa League final.

If talks proceed smoothly, Rooney will be Ronald Koeman's sixth signing of a busy close season at Everton, following Michael Keane, Jordan Pickford, Davy Klassen, Sandro Ramirez and Henry Onyekuru to Goodison Park.

While he may have lost some of his potency, Rooney is fondly remembered at Goodison Park after bursting on the scene at the tender age of 16 during the 2002-3 season.

The young forward was thrust into the public spotlight five days short of his 17th birthday thanks to a superb strike against Arsenal, and became a first-team regular during that debut campaign for the Toffees.

In total Rooney appeared 77 times for his first club in all competitions before United swooped, scoring on 17 occasions.

Meanwhile, Everton striker Romelu Lukaku is set to move in the opposite direction for £75million after United saw off competition from Chelsea for the Belgium international.

Anybody Who Wants To Breakup Nigeria Has Mental Issues – Obasanjo

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Nigeria’s former president has faulted the current agitation embarked by Nnamdi Kanu and other pro-Biafra agitators.

The former president who spoke on Friday at Effurun, Delta state insisted that the country would not breakup, noting that no sane being in his right state of mind would see separation as the way out for Nigeria’s problems.

“Will any person in his right senses believe that the way out of our problems in Nigeria is separation? We have past that stage. We have many problems if we can talk about them and we must talk about them. We must find solution to them,” he said.

Going further, Chief Obasanjo who was at the palace of the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Emmanuel Sideso, Abe 1 and the Olu of Warri, His Majesty, Ogiame Ikenwoli said that there is not wrong with Nigeria except for the people therein.

Obasanjo said: “I have always said there is nothing wrong with Nigeria but there is a lot wrong with Nigerians. And what we need to do is to correct what is wrong with Nigerians. Some of us have to speak up. If things are wrong and you refuse to speak out you become an accomplice. Somebody is wrong I took him up.

“We have to say this is not good enough and when we say this is not good enough we have to offer something greater than what is not good enough. There are a lot of things that are good than what is not good enough.

“Definitely, dismemberment of Nigeria is not good enough. I think harmony and cohesion is what we should substitute for dismemberment. Injustice, lack of fairness and impunity are not good enough.

“As I watch the dances, the culture and tradition, I shake my head. And I say it is indeed diversification that made us who we are- a great country. I don’t want to have a Nigeria of sameness where we all will be dancing Akpala or the same juju.

“The beauty of Nigeria is in our diversity. The greatness of Nigeria is in diversity of our different languages. In spite of our difficulty, your majesty, progress is being made.

“We have problems but in spite of our difficulty some progress are being made but we still have to make great progress. We need to make great progress than we have made, and we can do that.

“If we do that and we have good governance, no impunity, there is justice, there is equity and we make everybody to have a sense of belonging and a stake in this project Nigeria I believe we will get there sooner than we should have.”

“I participated in the civil war and I said may I never have to participate in any civil war again in my life. It was gruesome. It was destructive. It was deadly. This is most especially for those are clamouring (of which I don’t even know what they are clamouring) they don’t know what war means. They don’t.”

Nnamdi Kanu on Thursday, July 6, said former president Olusegun Obasanjo is going to die for saying he and the agitation for Biafra must be stopped. He said that the former president was going to die.

The IPOB leader stated this in reaction to Obasanjo’s comment that Nigerians must do everything possible to stop the agitation for Biafra led by he (Kanu).

The Nigeria police force has denied media reports that notorious kidnapper, Evans, has vanished from police cell. Manchester United Star Wayne Rooney Set To Rejoin Everton After Accepting 50% Pay Cut

Wayne Rooney is set to return to Everton after accepting a huge cut in wages.

However, Manchester United will have to cough out millions to pay up the final year of his contract.

Sportsmail reports that Rooney has agreed to a salary reduction of around 50%, to facilitate a return to the club he left 13 years ago.

The 31-year-old earns upwards of £300,000-a-week at Old Trafford after sponsorship add-ons. His wages at Everton will be closer to £150,000.

Paying up the final season of the four-year deal Rooney signed in 2014, could cost United more than £15million, with the potential of a loyalty bonus on top of his salary.

The club’s policy saw Rooney’s basic wage of £230,000 a week dropped to £180,000 last season, after United’s failure to qualify for the Champions League.

US Declares Readiness For War, Drops ‘Dummy Bombs’ Near North Korea

One day after US Secretary of Defence, Jim Mattis said the military is ready to provide options to President Donald Trump over the launch of ballistic missiles by North Korea, US Air Force B-1 bombers have dropped “dummy bombs” near the Korean Demilitarized Zone.

The exercise was tagged “show of force”, a military operation intended to warn or to intimidate an opponent by showcasing a capability or will to act if one is provoked.

The Air Force B-1 bombers, which were escorted by South Korean fighter jets, dropped the bombs in response to North Korea’s missile launch earlier this week.

The Korean Demilitarized Zone is a strip of land running across the Korean Peninsula.

It was established by the provisions of the Korean Armistice Agreement to serve as a buffer zone between the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea) and the Republic of Korea (South Korea).

The zone is a border barrier that divides the Korean Peninsula roughly in half, which was created by agreement between North Korea, China and the UN in 1953.

Mattis quoted Gen. Vincent Brooks, the Commander of U.S. Forces in Korea, as saying America and South Korea have exercised extreme self-restraint in avoiding war.

He noted the shelling of South Korea’s Yeonpyeong Island in 2010, the sinking of a South Korean ship earlier that year and other provocations at sea, on land and in cyberspace.

“Our self-restraint holds, and diplomatic efforts remain underway as we speak”, he said, adding that diplomatic and economic efforts remained the tools of choice to convince North Korea to stop its nuclear and missile programmes.

Banky W Urges Wizkid, Davido To Stop Fighting

Banky W, Wizkid’s ex-label Boss, has waded into the feud between Wizkid, Davido and Tekno which also caught MC Galaxy and Cynthia Morgan in its web.

Banky who borrowed words from one of Jay Z’s songs which made it to his 4:44 album which went platinum after one week, advised the artiste to stop feuding and focus on conquering the world.

According to him, it doesn’t matter if one, two or three Nigerian artistes conquer the world. Here’s what he wrote;

“What’s better than one billionaire? Two”
What’s better than one of our Artists conquering the world? Two? Three? 10?? All?? Wish we would all just quit the mud slinging and get back to pushing the movement forward.

When you’re running a race, if you stop to throw stones at every dog that barks, you’ll never reach your destination OR you’ll get there much later than you should. And.. a mud fight may seem like fun, but in the end, everyone just comes out looking like shit.
Food for thought.

Boko Haram: Victory in sight – Air chief

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, says the Nigerian military is winning the war against the Boko Haram insurgents in the North-East and other parts of the country.

Abubakar said this on Friday while inaugurating one block of 30-room accommodation for officers and men of the 115 Special Operations Group (SOG ), Port Harcourt.

He said that many terrorists’ cells in the North-East had been decimated by security forces and assured that victory was in sight.

“The Nigerian military is currently on the path of winning the war against terrorism in the North-East and other parts of the country.

“If you recall, in 2014, terrorists moved in convoy of 15 to 20 Hilux vehicles; ravaging villages and killing villagers. But that is not the situation on ground now.

“It is true that we have cases of suicide bombings, but we are doing everything humanly possible to contain the situation

“The insurgency may linger for some time but we are capable to deal with the whole issues and make it become a thing of the past.

“We have highly committed Nigerians (military personnel) that are working day and night to ensure that no part of Nigeria is under the control of any group other than the legitimate government,” he said.

Abubakar assured that the military would continue to safeguard the nation’s territorial integrity from any form of external and internal aggressions.

He refuted claims that the military had penchant for committing collateral damages in its operations in the northern parts of the country.

According to him, the military should be commended and encouraged for its selfless service to the nation rather than being condemned by some.

Abubakar explained that the 115 SOG Air Force unit played a very critical role in various security operations in the country.

“We are on a visit to the unit to access preparedness of the unit while improving on welfare of troops for effective and efficient service delivery,” the air chief said.

Britain denies backing agitators to break up Nigeria

By Demola Akinyemi
ILORIN-The British government has denied claims by some secession agitators in parts of Nigeria that the british government is backing their agitation to break Nigeria.

It would berecalled that some agitators had claimed that some powerful nations like the US and UK were backing their agitation, while the US government had denied such claim.

The British Envoy in Nigeria,Mr Paul Arkwright made the clarification yesterday while speaking with journalists when he met with the Speaker of the Kwara state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ali Ahmad, on a courtesy visit .

The British Envoy said,”In a word no. We have nothing to do with any agitations and acts to break up Nigeria. We strongly support the unity of Nigeria. ”

“We strongly support the federal government and that is the position that the British Government had held consistently. ”

“We have absolutely no interest about agitation for the breakup of Nigeria and anybody who claims the British and the British Government is involved in any way is completely wrong‎”

The British ambassador, who described Nigeria democratic situation as delicate, particularly commended both the kwara state government and the state House of Assembly on their efforts at upholding democratic tenets, and keeping the flame of democracy alive.

He said the British government was interested in getting more Nigerian women engaged in politics, adding that he was happy with efforts of the state government and the House of Assembly in women participation, especially with women lawmakers holding leadership position in the House.

He however noted that percentage of women in politics was low in Nigeria, and charged the government to encourage more women in politics.

His words,”Percentage of women in politics is low. So anything you could do to encourage women in politics and civil society, I will welcome that ”

“I was very keen to see the house of Assembly and the members here.i feel strongly that sometimes in this country, democracy is for the delegates. It is great to see a House of Assembkt that is operating in the true spirit of democracy representing the people here. ”

He also said that his government would continue to collaborate with state government in areas of education, and political development.

Also speaking, the Speaker described the visit as symbolic, saying that it was an attestation that British government was in support of Nigeria democracy.

“This has also deepened democracy in Nigeria and it sent a message that legislature is central to democracy. Unfortunately, many state Houses of Assembly in Nigeria are not functioning as expected. But we here at the House of Assembly have had cause to amicably deferred with the executives despite the fact that we’re in same party”, he said.
