Mr Eazi has been the subject of serious criticism for his statements about pioneering the Ghana-Nigeria music fusion and for his claims of having left a lucrative job for a chancy music adventure. These tirade of criticisms seem to have caused the singer to become unpopular amongst Nigerian music lovers.

However, Mr Eazi spoke on the issue in a recent interview with HipTV. He maintained that he still gets a lot of love from fans while stressing that the incident is not all that serious and that he was only teasing Nigerians.

UNILAG Non-teaching Staff Protest, Shut Gate

Some members of staff of the University of Lagos, Akoka have staged a protest in the school to drive home their demands.

Non-academic staff at the University of Lagos on Monday protest what they termed The Federal Government’s unequal distribution of allowance.

The protesters shut the institution’s gate.

When a Punch correspondent got to the scene of the protest at 11.48am, there was heavy traffic along major roads leading to the university gate as a result of the protest.

The workers, who held leaves, were also chanting anti-oppression songs.

They accused the Federal Government of downgrading their importance in the nation’s education system.

LAUTECH Has Highest Concentration Of Cyber Criminals – DSS

The lack of experts in cybersecurity and technology is leaving Nigeria vulnerable to cybercrimes, warns the Department for State Security Service (DSS).

DSS says internet fraud is more prevalent in the south west, especially Lagos, Ogun and Oyo. Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) is considered to have the highest concentration of cyber criminals and in the country.

Deputy-Director of the DSS in-charge of Security in Anambra state, Mr.Yekini Ishola, made the disclosure while presenting a paper on cyber crimes and the way out at a two-day annual security seminar organised by the Security Department of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, tagged “Developing Technological Strategy Towards Crime Reduction In Tertiary Institution.”

He said cyber crimes were not committed by an individual, but a network of criminal activities perpetrated by syndicates using what he referred to as identity theft, hacking, stocking, malicious software and other dubious means to gain access into personal information and account details.

“As a result of dearth of hitech cyber security apparatus in the country, it could be rather difficult to fight cyber crimes to a standstill. Collective responsibility is therefore required to track cyber fraudsters and their cronies,” he stressed.

Identifying investigation and intelligence gathering as ways perpetrators of cyber crimes could be nailed, the security expert however cautioned the public to desist from disclosing sensitive personal information like Bank Verification Numbers, ATM pin numbers, passwords and phone numbers to unknown persons.

Grace Mugabe Is Reportedly Divorcing Robert Mugabe According To Zimbabwe News Sites

Former First Lady of Zimbabwe, Grace Mugabe has reportedly filed for divorce from her 93-year-old husband Robert Mugabe after he was ousted as the President, Zimbabwe Today reports.



Grace Mugabe and Robert Mugabe have been married for 21 years. Grace began by working as the secretary of then President Mugabe and when his wife, the former First Lady died, she married the President and immediately became First Lady. She remained First Lady for 21 years until he husband was ousted last month.

Sources close to the Mugabe family confirmed that Grace Mugabe has filed for divorce. The South African born woman has reportedly voiced concerns over her role as the former First Lady of Zimbabwe, claiming that it’s about time she enjoys some peaceful life. She reportedly said she is not prepared to be ridiculed for the years ahead and that her ostracism and her husband’s resignation as the leader of Zimbabwe have gradually grown into a life-threatening headache.

A family source told Zimbabwe Today: “She’s been very upset ever since Mugabe gave up to hand over power to his ousted Vice-president. She wanted a role as a First Lady, not as a woman who acts as subordinate. She is also not prepared to leave her luxurious lifestyle to live in a home of captivity. She thinks that the decor is despicable and beyond repair.”

Sad! Fast Food Chain CEO, Lowell Hawthorne Commits Suicide Inside His Own Factory

CEO of fast food chain Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery and Grill, reportedly killed himself inside his Bronx factory on Saturday December 2nd.



57-year-old Lowell Hawthorne, allegedly shot himself to death inside the Bronx factory, at the Park Ave. disclose near E. 173rd St. in Claremont about 5:30 p.m. He also left a note which is yet to be disclosed.

Police reports say, Hawthorne who emigrated to the United States from Jamaica and opened his first Golden Krust operation in 1989, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The authorities also revealed that he was deep in tax debt and was being sued by a former staffer for thousands in lost wages, court records show.

Lowell Hawthorne was “worried” about the liens, which included more than $150,000 in city taxes on the company’s buildings, a police source said.

In addition to Hawthorne’s state tax issues, it was revealed that a former maintenance staffer was suing him in Manhattan Federal Court. One-time employee Robert Wray said he was never paid for the overtime he worked during his 11-year tenure.

Wray’s May 8 lawsuit contends more than 100 other Golden Krust staffers were similarly stiffed on OT.

The Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery and Grill is known for its beef patties, which later grew into a franchise that now includes more than 100 stores in nine states.

UNILORIN Student Narrates How A Man She Met On Instagram Invited Her Over, Drugged Her, Had Cex With Her… And Took Her Nvde Pictures

A female student of the University of Ilorin in Kwara state yesterday narrated how a man she met on Instragram, invited her over to his house in Lagos, drugged her, had cex with her and afterwards took her nvde photos.



Speaking to newsmen, the victim whose name was withheld, said her social media lover invited her to a hotel in Lagos where he took advantage of her.

“He asked for a relationship which I was reluctant to accept but I accepted. I met him for the first time in Lagos when I was on holiday. He later invited me to an hotel in Ojo area of Lagos, that was when I met him for the second time. It was when I was preparing to return to school, so he demanded cex which I turned down. He promised me N15,000 and transferred it to me, we had a drink but I noticed I was dizzy. So it was when one of the hotel waiters brought a condom that I started to cause a scene before people came to my rescue. Later that day, he called and threatened to send my nvde pictures he took to my Daddy, I was surprised how he got my father’s number. It was because of the threat that I had to go to him again to have cex and to ask him delete all the pictures but he again said he had video of when we were having cex. “I couldn’t confront my parents because I was scared and told my pastor, so it was my pastor that reported the matter to the police,” the Unilorin student said.

Confirming the incident, Kwara police spokesman, Ajayi Okasanmi, said the suspect was initially arrested but escaped while he was being interrogated

“We invited the suspect to Ilorin with the help of the lady he was threatening. We arrested him and seized the phone which has the nudes pictures. So, we asked an officer to go and search where he lodged in Ilorin only for him to escape in the process and we have not seen him till date,” Okasanmi said told newsmen

Police Service of Northern Ireland has been outed on social media following a tweet by them which read “If you bump into that special someone under the mistletoe tonight, remember that without consent it is rape #SeasonsGreetings”, was posted to its 159,000 followers.

The tweet apparently drew criticism on Saturday, with hundreds mocking the force for ‘trivializing’ rape.

“We posted a message on Twitter yesterday that some may have taken out of context but the message remains the same; when you are out socialising over the Christmas period, please remember without consent it is rape.”

This however, is not the first time PSNI has faced a backlash for social media postings, about sexual violence.

In March the Newry and Mourne division posted an image of a distressed woman under the caption ‘without consent it is rape’ and a message warning people not to ‘overindulge’.

We Won’t Scrap SARS, Police Reply Anti-SARS Campaigners

The Police high command has said contrary to the ongoing social media campaign calling on it to scrap its Special Anti-Robbery Squad unit, it has no such intention whatsoever.

This was even as it said contrary to claims of wrongdoings against SARS by those it referred to as “criminals”, the anti-robbery unit has done a lot in sanitising the country.

The police said those carrying out the campaign in the social media were armed robbers who have found the operations of the special unit so hot for their activities, and challenged them to come out for identification so that it can investigate them.

It also asked well meaning Nigerians to disregard what it described as so-called special media campaign against SARS, insisting that the campaigners were armed robbers who relocated to the social media it referred to as “comedians centre” to drum up support to achieve their aim.

Force Public Relations Officer,Jimoh Moshood, a Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP, told Vanguard on a telephone conversation that those carrying the campaign for scrapping of SARS were criminals who want to unit scrapped so that their activities can thrive, vowing that the criminals won’t have their way.

He dared those with allegations of wrongdoing against SARS to show up with their evidence or shut up, insisting that the police would not bow to their antics to regain freedom in their nefarious trades.

Hear him:  Anybody calling for scrapping of SARS is an armed robber, let him come forward so that we can investigate him.

Any complaints they give against any police personnel, everybody knows that we don’t hide it.

We have a Public Complaints Bureau which handles complaints. So if anybody is calling for scrapping of SARS, we don’t need to be reminded that they are criminals just using the social media.

The Force Public Relations Officer added: “If there are robbers that are operating and Special Anti-Robbery Squad engage them and somebody would now put something in the social media and say they should scrap SARS, I think it’s unfortunate.

If there are specific allegations against any police officer whether SARS or no SARS, there’s a control mechanism for any of us that violates the rights of Nigerian citizens to be dealt with appropriately.

You have seen instances where police officers have been tried, found guilty and charged to court.

Those mechanisms are there, so it would be mischievous for anybody to call for scrapping of SARS. You want armed robbers to take over everywhere?

He spoke further: So, those who are calling on the scrapping of SARS are people to be suspected, I think they are robbers themselves.

If there are complaints of atrocities against any police officers, they are being dealt with appropriately, we don’t hide them.

You have been reading how police men that misbehave in their lines of duties are being dealt with. So anybody that is calling for scrapping of SARS has something to hide.

The police authorities cannot and will not scrap the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS for these criminals to thrive because it’s not our problem.

The people that have been fighting armed robbery, fighting kidnapping and make a lot of successes?

Look at the number of people they have arrested along Abuja-Kaduna highway, look at the case of Evans. Don’t you know that Intelligence Response Team has elements of Special Anti-Robbery Squad in them.

I’m just trying to let you know the viability, so we shouldn’t be dancing to the tone of the social media, that’s the comedians centre.

11-Year-Old Girl Wins $25,000 Science Prize For Creating A Cheap Device To Test Drinking Water For Poison

Gitanjali Rao, a seventh grader from Colorado, has been awarded the title of “America’s top young scientist” for designing a compact device to detect lead in drinking water, which she believes can be faster and cheaper than other current methods.



The 11-year-old’s invention was inspired by the water crisis in Flint, Michigan, where cost-cutting measures led to tainted drinking water that contained lead and other toxins. It also won her a $25,000 prize, for which Rao already has plans: “I plan to use most of it in developing my device further so that it can be commercially available soon,” she said



Rao who attends the STEM School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, originally submitted the idea to the Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge, an annual youth science and engineering competition for middle school students in the US, inaugurated in 2008. JAMB Fixes New Date For Sale Of Forms

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has fixed a date for the commencement of the sale of the 2018 application forms.

The board said the sale and registration for all candidates, including those from foreign countries, will now hold from December 6 to February 6, 2018.

The spokesperson of the board, Fabian Benjamin, said this in an interaction with newsmen, Sunday evening.

According to him, registration fee is N5,000 while an additional N500 will be paid to obtain a compulsory reading text “IN DEPENDENCE” for UTME candidates and “The Last Days at Forcados High School” for direct entry candidates.

He said, “The MOCK examination shall commence from Monday 22 to Wednesday 24 January, 2018 and the CBT Centres are allowed to collect, through their bank accounts, a separate ₦700 for this exercise from interested candidates after notification of centre has been received by the candidate.”

The board had also proposed March 9 to 17, 2018 as the date for the examination.

President Buhari has not yet declared his intention to seek re-election although his recent actions and comments have strongly suggested he will.
