Police Warns Lagosians Against Staying In Isolated Areas
The Lagos State Police Command has warned Lagos residents in the state against living in isolated and unsafe areas where they might be vulnerable to attacks by hoodlums.
The police spokesperson in Lagos, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole, disclosed this in a statement that the warning became necessary following the murder of four family members at Ibeshe, Ikorodu, at the weekend.
“A murder incident was reported during the early hours of Sunday, July 30 where police operatives of the Lagos State Command responded to a distress call at Oke Ota, Ibeshe, Ikorodu area of Lagos State.”
“Mobilizing to the scene, police operatives found it extremely difficult to locate the house which was situated in a thick forest where it is remotely impossible for anybody to identify a dwelling house in the area.
“Eventually arriving at the scene on foot, the house is just a room and parlour with one open window and no visible form of security.
“There, a family of five was attacked and three died on the spot while one died while receiving treatment at the hospital.
‘’The last member is alive and responding to treatment,’’ the police spokesperson said.
He pleaded with community leaders to identify persons staying in isolated areas which are no longer safe and report to the police.
“This should be done in order to stop people from moving into unsecured area without proper social structures,” he added.
“The command also wishes to inform members of the public to come forward with useful information to aid the police and not resort to jungle justice as investigation is on-going,” He concluded.

Regret Not Being A Graduate — Reminisce
Rapper, Remilekun Abdulkalid Safaru, aka Reminisce, has achieved quite a lot with his music career. He has a huge following and he is also a brand ambassador for some reputable companies.
However, the Kako bi Chicken crooner is not entirely happy; he wishes he was a graduate. Speaking to Sunday Scoop about the music industry, he said,
“For anybody who wants to make a career out of music, you have to be sure that you are skilled and that it’s something that you can do sustainably; if not, go to school. Either ways, it is important to go to school, whether you go into full-time music or not. I actually regret not being a graduate.”
Speaking about how he has been able to shield his personal life from the public, Reminisce said,
“I always keep my private life private as I believe that I have the right to my privacy. There is a very big difference between Reminisce, the artiste, and Remi, the family man. I thank God because I’m comfortable and I don’t need validation on social media. I don’t have to put everything I own on social media so that people would know that I have arrived. Inasmuch as I’m not begging anybody for food, it’s all good. Instead of flaunting material things, I prefer to invest in people.”
Apart from music, what else does he like to do? The Angelina rapper said,
“I am interested in politics and I see myself becoming a politician in future. One is not going to do music forever and I need to plan my life properly. I also love to engage in business, so I see myself doing a lot of that too.”
My Ideal Girl Must Be A Go-Getter – Adekunle Gold
Singer Adekunle Gold, needs little or no introduction in the entertainment industry.
The SHADE crooner, opened up on his deal with YBNL, his ideal girl and of course his music, during an interview with Sunday Scoop.
On his music:
“It is my personal resolve to keep making clean music. I am not under any pressure whatsoever to change the type of lyrics I sing. I like to pass across messages with my songs. Music is supposed to be a vehicle for social change. If you notice, my songs often dwell on topical issues that people can relate with and learn from. A true hit song is one that people can still enjoy many years after it was recorded. But some songs that were released just last year are no longer relevant or appealing, and that is because they are shallow and not in tune with the times,” he said.On his love for African print:
“I am a proud African and it’s up to me to showcase my culture and let people know more good things about the continent. Whenever I travel, foreigners admire my outfit and some of them even request for the type. It is the way we treat our things that outsiders would also perceive it. I want to implore everyone to give priority to our local products.”
On how he met YBNL boss, Olamide:
“I met Olamide when I was called upon to design the YBNL logo. I also did some other works for members of the label.
After I sang Sade, Olamide heard it and liked it, so we had a discussion and he offered me a deal. I gladly accepted.”On his type of woman he likes, Adekunle said,
“My ideal girl is someone who is a go-getter. She must know what she wants and be prepared to work for it. I don’t like people who are too laid-back and don’t even have plans for their lives.”

My Hand Of God Goal Should Not Have Stood’- Diego Maradona
Diego Maradona has backed the use of video assistant referees (VARs) despite accepting his infamous ‘Hand of God’ goal would not have stood had the technology existed in 1986.
Maradona used his hand to score against England in Argentina’s 2-1 win in the World Cup quarter-finals 31 years ago.
“Obviously I think about it whenever I show my support for the use of technology,” Maradona told Fifa.com.
“I thought about it and, sure, that goal wouldn’t have stood.”
Maradona admitted he benefited from the lack of technology at a World Cup not once, but twice.
“I’ll tell you something else – at the 1990 World Cup I used my hand to clear the ball off the line [in a group game] against the Soviet Union,” he said.
“We were lucky because the referee didn’t see it. You couldn’t use technology back then, but it’s a different story today.”
The 56-year-old added Geoff Hurst’s controversial goal for England in the 1966 World Cup final would also have been ruled out had VARs been available.
“England won the World Cup in ’66 with a shot that didn’t go over the line,” he said.
“There have been lots of incidents where World Cup history would have been different if technology had been used. It’s time to change all that.”
Manchester United Can Win Premier League And Champions League’- Mourinho
Manchester United are “better equipped” to win the Premier League this season but have to be “much, much better” to challenge for the Champions League, says manager Jose Mourinho.
United won the League Cup and Europa League and finished sixth in the league in Mourinho’s first season in charge.
Asked if he was targeting the domestic title this season, he told BBC Sport: “We are better prepared for that.”
United have signed Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof so far this summer.
“This season is going to be more difficult but I think we have better conditions to fight for the Premier League,” Mourinho told BBC Sport.
“I think this season we are a little bit better equipped. We are against fantastic teams, against amazing investments.
“But I believe in our group, in our spirit, in our empathy, in our togetherness. I trust my boys and we are going to try.”
As Europa League holders, United qualified directly for the Champions League group stage.
“We went to the Europa League as one of the top teams, we go to the Champions League and we are not one of the top teams,” Mourinho added.
“We have to be better, much better, for that objective. The base of everything is to find what I call a happy dressing room.”

Chelsea’s ‘king of trouble’ and ‘bad boy’, Diego Costa has been banished from first team training by manager Antonio Conte and has been told by the club’s management that he won’t play for Chelsea again.
Costa told the club he wanted to leave three times in the last ten months- The first was during last year’s pre-season tour when he asked to return to Atletico Madrid, his former club. Conte, responded by benching him for two friendlies. Second time was in January when Costa made it clear he wanted the mega-money move to Chinese club, Tianjin Quanjian in January while third time was at the end of the season.
Now with the 70 million Pounds capture of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, Conte has banished Costa from first team training and its now clear the Spanish striker will leave the club as soon as possible. Costa is not on the club’s pre-season tour squad and has been granted extended leave so he can conclude a deal with former club, Atletco Madrid.
‘In January, the Costa situation was made very clear,’ said Conte, speaking for the first time since his infamous post-season text-message exchange with the striker.

Buhari Not Coming Back, Stand In The Way Of Biafra And Be Destroyed’- IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu Warns
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has declared that the anger of his god will descend on the people of Anambra if they went ahead to participate in the November 18 gubernatorial election in the state.
Kanu made the controversial proclamation when he addressed his supporters at Nri, the ancestral home of Igboland, in Anocha Local Government Area of Anambra State, on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, heads of security agencies in Anambra have urged citizens of the state to ignore the threats by IPOB as they have no powers to stop the conduct of the election. They insist that they are ready to police the state and ensure that the electoral process was not disrupted.
The tough-talking IPOB boss, who sneaked into the ancestral town with his wife,
Uchechi Kanu insists that Anambra governorship election will not hold unless the acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo declares the date for the referendum.
According to the Abia-born activist, the only way Biafra independence can be actualised is for Igbos to boycott all elections conducted by the Nigerian government in the South East geopolitical zone (Biafraland). He insists that anybody that defies the boycott order issued by IPOB leadership in Anambra and other states in the region will have himself to blame.
“Anybody that stands in the way of Biafra will be destroyed. I have not made any pronouncement that did not come to pass. I am saying that there will be no election in Anambra State on November 18.
“Nobody can stop IPOB. Biafraland is grossly marginalised; we have no good road, no electricity, no source of water and so on. I am sure that Buhari will not come back again and if anybody said there will be no Biafra, what happened to Buhari will happen to the person,” he warned.
Kanu had earlier paid a courtesy visit to the Nri king maker, Chief Shedrack Mbanefo (Adama Nri) who prayed for him and assured him of Igbo support for the struggle for the actualisation of Biafra.
“Kanu’s visit to the ancestral home of Adama Nri is a mystery and spiritual and this is an indication that Biafran sovereignty will be achieved. May God continue to bless him and his family as he champions the Biafran course,” he prayed.
Kanu, accompanied by Adama Nri and other elders of Nri community later trekked to Nri garden of Eden, regarded as evil forest, where he engaged in a brief prayer session and sought the blessing of the gods for the Biafran freedom campaign.
While Kanu was at Nri, urging Anambra citizens to shun the November poll, the state security chiefs in Awka issued a stern warning to the group and other trouble makers to desist from acts capable of jeopardizing the success of the poll.
A joint security task force meeting which involved the Nigerian Army, Navy, Police and the National Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) as well as the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) insists that the crucial governorship election would take place as planned.
In a statement issued after the meeting, the security chiefs urged members of the public, especially residents of Anambra to disregard the pronouncements by the IPOB leader and his cohorts, and go about their lawful businesses.
Anambra Police Commissioner, Garba Baba Umar, who spoke on behalf of the security chiefs, assured of their readiness to protect lives and properties of citizens as well as ensure that the election was conducted in a peaceful, free and fair manner.
According to him, security agencies are putting in place measures that would forestall unlawful breakdown of peace and order in the state and nip in the bud any attempt by some misguided elements to disrupt the poll in line with IPOB’s boycott agenda.
Umar adds: “This is unacceptable and would not be tolerated in the state as the command and other security agencies respect the rights of individuals to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly”.

CHELSEA SIGN £40M BAKAYOKO FROM MONACO
The France international midfielder is the Blues's third signing of the summer as Antonio Conte looks to bolster his Premier League-winning squad
Tiemoue Bakayoko has completed his £40 million move to Chelsea from Monaco, signing a five-year deal with the Blues.
Bakayoko can be Chelsea's Vieira
Antonio Conte targeted Bakayoko as their first choice option to strengthen their midfield and they are now expected to allow Nemanja Matic to leave to make room for the France international.
Talks between Chelsea, Monaco and Bakayoko's representatives have moved slowly since they first started but all parties ultimatley came to an agreement for the 22-year-old.
Bakayoko returned from his holiday in New York to complete the final arrangements of the transfer, though a knee injury could rule him out of the Blues's pre-season friendlies.
The Frenchman, who will wear the No.14 shirt, told Chelsea's official website: "I am very happy to be here and to join this great team. I have grown up watching Chelsea. Signing was the natural thing for me because it is a club I loved very much in my childhood.
Things Everyone Should Know About Hip Hop
1. Hip Hop is Big
Hip hop is bigger than rap music (more on that below), but even just focusing on the music: everything that you hear on the radio or see on TV is less than 1% of what is actually being made in the world.
To dismiss all hip hop based on that kind of superficial exposure is like saying “film is a worthless art form” after seeing all four Transformers movies and nothing else. Hip hop is bigger than any stereotype, caricature, or preconceived notion.
2. Hip Hop is Diverse and Dynamic
Once you acknowledge that hip hop is bigger than the half-dozen artists they play on the radio over and over again, you can begin to appreciate the vast stylistic diversity present in the music. While there are commonly shared elements (rhymes, verse/chorus structures, drums, etc.) individual artists can and do have wildly different approaches to the form in terms of style, subject matter, delivery, etc.
The complex, ever-shifting geography of hip hop’s many subcultures, undercurrents and call-and-response aesthetic debates is one of its greatest strengths.
3. Hip Hop is Global
Every city in the U.S. has a hip hop scene. It’s not just New York, and it’s not just major population centers.
Even suburbs and smaller rural communities often have one or two kids who rap, or at the very least take part in the culture in some way.
On top of that, just about every country in the world has a hip hop scene, with MCs rapping in many different languages and dialects, b-boy and b-girl communities sprouting up all over the world, and hip hop as a major driver of youth culture just about everywhere on the planet.
4. There is a Difference Between “Hip Hop” and “Rap” But It’s Probably Not What You Think
Individuals will often try to differentiate between the two terms based on content/quality (like rappers just rap while hip hop MCs represent for the culture); I’m not saying that that’s wrong, but I do think a less subjective, potentially more useful definition is this: “Rap” is the physical act of rapping, of speaking lyrics over beats. “Hip hop” is the larger culture that includes rapping, but also includes many other elements, traditions and practices (see next point).
5. Hip Hop isn’t Just Rap Music
The traditional four elements of hip hop are DJing, rapping, graffiti and b-boy/b-girl dance. KRS-ONE and others have identified other elements that are sometimes thrown into the conversation: vocal percussion and beatboxing, street knowledge, entrepreneurialism, fashion, slang and language, music production, and more. I know hip hop photographers, hip hop educators, hip hop activists, hip hop playwrights, etc. What makes them “hip hop” is a larger conversation (related to generational identities, geography, aesthetic approaches, and much more), but it helps to think about hip hop as this impressionistic landscape, not just as “rap music.” It’s much bigger than that.
6. While Practitioners Today Come From Many Different Backgrounds, Hip Hop is Part of Black American Musical Tradition
Hip hop was born out of the black and brown struggle in the Bronx of the 1970s, and is very much a piece of African-American musical tradition. But practitioners of the art today come from every community—every racial/ethnic group, gender, sexual orientation, immigrant status, nationality, class background, geographic origin and any other marker of identity. Some see this as another example of black art being co-opted; some see this as a truly multicultural art form capable of transcending borders. Some see it as both.
7. Hip hop is Not Inherently Violent, Sexist, Homophobic, or Materialistic
To be clear, I’m not saying that there isn’t violence, sexism, homophobia, and materialism in rap lyrics. But the key word here is “inherently.” To re-use the film metaphor, there’s a whole lot of violence, sexism, homophobia, and materialism in Hollywood too, but that doesn’t mean that film is an inherently debased medium, or that there aren’t thousands upon thousand

Canada’s minister of immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, Hon. Ahmed Hussein representing the Prime Minister, Rt.Hon. Justin Pierre Trudeau made this request while receiving Ooni Ogunwusi in Ottawa on Thursday, saying that the African great monarch has the goodwill to play such a role.
Canada will be contesting for a position in Security Council of the UN very soon and we would need to secure the votes of countries of the world especially Africa because we have always treated the Africans as our brothers and that is why our immigration policies have always been friendly to Africa”.
The Somalian born Canadian Minister also told the Ooni and his entourage that Canada has already earmarked a sum of $119.250milion to support three African countries, Nigeria, Sudan and Somalia with a view to being a brother’s keeper.
Earlier while introducing the visiting African foremost monarch to the Minister, the Nigeria’s Acting High Commissioner in Canada, Mr Oluremi Oliyide described Ooni Ogunwusi as the new face of the African peace, unity and progress who has dedicated his throne to the African youth, saying the monarch was in Canada not only to participate in ongoing 150 independence celebration but also to meet with the Nigerians in Canada sensitizing them on the need to uphold the African cultural and traditional values and be good ambassadors in Canada.
It will be recalled that the monarch had on Tuesday morning arrived Toronto in Canada accompanied by his wife and Yeyeluwa of the source, Olori Wuraola Ogunwusi, the Alie of Ilie, Oba Oladapo Olagunsoye, the Onigbaye of Igbaye, Oba Joseph Moronfoye and the Oloba of Oba-Ile, Oba Dr Oyeyemi Asamu Oyegbade.
Ooni Ogunwusi was presented with a flag of the Republic of Canada and decorated with Crest of the country’s 150th Independence Anniversary by the excited minister on behalf of the Prime Minister.
Jose Mourinho Reveals Why He Told Man United To Buy Lukaku From Everton
Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has said that Romelu Lukaku’s Premier League experience and his personal relationship with the player from their time together at Chelsea, were the primary reasons he sanctioned a £75million move for the 24-year-old
Mourinho at the time questioned Lukaku’s mentality, but the striker himself has insisted the pair have since moved on, in an interview with NBC’s Beyond The Pitch.
The Portuguese has now stated that he expects the player, to become an important part of his United team and score goals.
“He’s the kind of player that everybody knows. He’s a striker, so we’re not speaking about a multi-functional player or [one who will] create doubts about positions on the pitch, he’s a striker and normally strikers score goals,” Mourinho told reporters.
“The reason why he was so important and difficult to get is what he did in the Premier League. Obviously there are other good strikers in football but the Premier League is a very specific habitat, a different habitat. Normally they need some time to adapt and Lukaku plays in Premier League for the last four or five seasons.
“I didn’t negotiate, it was Mr [chief executive Ed] Woodward who negotiated with Romelu, his agent [Mino Raiola] and the Everton board, the only thing I did was to call him when the situation was almost there just to guarantee him that he would be an important player in my team.
“It’s quite a great experience the fact we worked together already for a few months and during the time when I was at Chelsea and when he was at Everton our relationship was always very close, despite it not working well for us together.
“He’s intelligent, he’s polite, we kept the contact, the feeling and now we are back together in different moments and I have no doubts it is going to work.”
Have Only Gotten Half Of The Players I Need In This Summer’- Manchester United Boss Mourinho Hints On More Signings
Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has revealed that he has gotten half of the players he wanted this summer.
Mourinho says he needs four new faces ahead of the 2017/2018 season, as he builds a squad that will compete in the Premier League and Champions League.
He said: “We need two more players. At least one.
“We don’t have our door closed. We aren’t happy with just Lukaku and Lindelof. We wanted 4 so I would say 50% of the job is done.”
United have only brought in defender Victor Lindelof and striker Romelu Lukaku so far.
Arsenal Boss Wenger Reveals He Has Exchanged Messages With Alexis Sanchez Over Future
Arsene Wenger is “positive” Alexis Sanchez will stay at Arsenal, after swapping text messages with the player.
Wenger revealed that Sanchez has left him convinced he will not leave the Emirates this summer, despite refusing to sign a new contract with the Gunners.
Manchester City are desperate to sign the 28-year-old, but Arsenal are unlikely to sanction a move to their Premier League rivals.
When asked if he is now convinced he will stay, Wenger told reporters in Australia: “Of course. There is not a lot to resolve at the moment with the player. I have spoken through text and it was very positive. My thoughts are always positive.”
The Frenchman also hinted that Sanchez who is still on holidays, could be ready to play in their opening game of the season against Leicester on August 11.
“Usually you need three weeks but they will have a programme that they have to follow and can be involved after one week to 10 days, they can be in the squad and play in part of games.
“They could be involved in the Leicester game, of course. Sometimes I have left them out but it also depends on what shape they come back in.
“In England you also have to consider players like Alexis Sanchez played the whole season, finished the season really tired and went off to play in the Confederations Cup.
“You cannot tell them that they are not having a holiday and must come back and continue, it’s impossible,” Wenger added.

China fattest man happy to lose weight
Huang Jiaxin, China’s fattest man who previously weighed an overwhelming 265 kilograms, is set to be released from the hospital after shedding off 70 kilograms within 5 months. The 26-year-old first made a splash online in February when he fell over himself on the street of central China’s Wuhan City.
It took two hours and over 20 people to lift him and get him inside the ambulance.
Huang was then taken to Chengdu No.3 Hospital to start his weight loss treatment. He was put on a diet, assisted with some physical training.
To help track his weight changes, the hospital even ordered a special platform scale that could weigh him along with the chair. In May, doctors conducted a sleeve gastrectomy on him to help contain his appetite.
Liu Yanjun, Huang’s doctor-in-charge, is now ready to set him free from the ward, although Liu said Huang is still far from completing his weight loss journey.
“We don’t want him to lose weight too quickly because that will lead to physical dysfunctions,” Liu said, “our plan is designed to help him gradually, slowly and consistently shed weight, and we project he could be reduced to about 100 kilograms a year after the sleeve gastrectomy.”

Walker, who has 27 caps and spent eight seasons at Spurs has signed a five-year deal with City.
The deal, which comes to £50m including £5m of add-ons, could make him the most expensive English player ever.
"I am thrilled to be signing for City and can't wait to get started," said Walker. "Pep Guardiola is one of the most respected managers in the world."

The France international who only joined Arsenal last week for a fee that could rise to £52m, came off the bench with Iwobi to replace Danny Welbeck and Mesut Ozil respectively, in the 68th minute.

“Happy to score my 1st goal with my new Team !! Thanks @alexiwobi.. great assist,” the former Lyon striker wrote on Twitter.

SAD!! Holland Midfielder Suffers Brain Damage After Collapsing During Pre-Season Friendly
Ajax midfielder Abdelhak Nouri suffered “serious and permanent brain damage” after collapsing in a friendly match on Saturday.
The 20-year-old had “cardiac arrhythmias” – heart rhythm problems – during the game against Werder Bremen.
The club statement said the chances of recovery from the damage is nil.
It added: “The diagnosis was made that a lot of [his] brain is not functioning. All this probably occurred due to a lack of oxygen supply.”
On Monday, the club had said tests showed his “heart is functioning normally” and brain scans did not detect “any anomalies” – but new tests revealed the extent of the damage.
The Amsterdam-born player was flown by helicopter to hospital in Austria – where the abandoned friendly match was being played.
Ajax say he will soon be transferred to a hospital in Amsterdam for further care.
Former Manchester United and Fulham goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, now CEO at Ajax, said: “This is the worst possible message. It is terrible. We feel enormously for his parents, siblings and other relatives.
“The blow is also difficult for Ajax, though we knew we had to consider this scenario. They were uncertain days, lots of people in different ways have sympathised with his situation and is greatly appreciated.
“Abdelhak is such a great talent, but unfortunately we will never know how far his star would have reached had this not happened. ”
Nouri played 15 league and cup games for Ajax in 2016-17, scoring one goal in a Dutch Cup tie.

The £52.7m club-record signing from Lyon was introduced by Arsène Wenger as a 68th-minute substitute in a position just behind Olivier Giroud and showed some neat early touches, dropping deep to link up play and involving his new team-mates as often as possible.
But it was his impact in the 83rd minute that will have pleased Wenger and the club’s fans, with the forward timing a run into the box impeccably before connecting crisply with the ball to steer home Alex Iwobi’s low cross from the right.
Arsenal’s first goal came from an unlikely source, with the centre-back Per Mertesacker bundling the ball home with a hooked overhead kick from a Mesut Özil corner that the hosts failed to deal with.
The match, watched by 80,000 fans at the ANZ Stadium, would have ended 3-0 to Arsenal but for a fine save from Andrew Redmayne from a second-half Danny Welbeck penalty.
Fellow new recruit Sead Kolasinac started the game as Wenger stuck with the 3-4-2-1 formation he adopted towards the end of last season. Arsenal played with purpose throughout as Özil and Theo Walcott stretched Sydney’s defence but struggled with the the final ball. The lively 17-year-old Reiss Nelson was a handful on the right flank while fellow young debutant Joe Willock slalomed through Sydney’s defence.
But the hosts sparked just before the break as Petr Cech denied a marauding Josh Brillante, before Matt Simon turned the rebound into the outside of the back post. Sydney spun into action in the second half and substitute Christopher Zuvela forced replacement Arsenal goalkeeper Emi Martinez into a sharp save.
Wenger then executed a 10-man substitution in the 68th minute, which led to a disjointed period of play before Lacazette’s sharp finish.
Before the match, Sydney FC confirmed that their right-back Rhyan Grant will be sidelined for most of the new A-League season after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament.
Grant, who was a key part of Sydney’s record-breaking premiership-championship double, went down during a routine passing drill in training this week and will require surgery on his left knee. The injury comes four years after the 26-year-old had suffered the same injury to his opposite knee.
Super Eagles Boss Rohr Finally Gives Update On Resignation Report
Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr, has denied reports that he was considering dumping the Nigerian senior national team.
Reports emerged yesterday that the Franco-German gaffer was being frustrated by the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF’s Technical Committee by their attempt to interfere in his job.
But reacting to the report, Rohr told ESPN, “I have seen the reports and there is no truth to this.”
Reports in the British media suggested that Rohr, who has been successful with the Super Eagles in the World Cup qualifiers, may tender his resignation when he meets with the NFF leadership in Morocco during the CAF meetings.
He was said to be very angry at what he considers “meddling” in his work by the NFF’s Technical Committee led by Chris Green.
Nigeria lost 2-0 to South Africa in a 2019 African Nations Cup qualifier, but sit top of their qualifying group for the 2018 World Cup of 2018, and could all but secure a place at the World Cup in Russia with a win over Cameroon next month in Uyo.
Man Kidnaps Himself And Demanded N60m From Sibling
The police in Lagos have arrested one Ufom Udoh for allegedly staging his kidnap in order to fleece his sibling.
The incident occurred on July 3, at Liverpool, Apapa. It was gathered that one Victor Udoh, had reported at the police command that his younger brother was kidnapped by unknown persons.
According to the command’s spokesman, Olarinde Famous-Cole, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), the case was referred to the anti-kidnapping unit and they swung into action.
He said the unit traced all calls the complainant got on his phone, adding that it led to the arrest of one Paul Okiemute, who reported the case at Udoh’s work place.
Okiemute, upon questioning confessed that Udoh staged his own kidnap to collect money from his elder brother due to his financial problems.
Famous-Cole said: “Udoh was not kidnapped. It was all planned. He staged his own kidnap so that his elder brother can pay ransom.”
The suspect said he made calls to the victim’s elder brother with an unknown number demanding a ransom of N60 million.
“Udoh was later picked up and he confessed to the crime. He said he had checked into a hotel at Iyana-Ipaja area on July 3, where he spent three nights without food and water.
“The suspect said he later trekked to Ifo area in Ogun state, only to return to Lagos looking frail for his story to look convincing,” said Famous-Cole.
Police spokesman said the Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, has directed that Udoh and his accomplice be charged to court to serve as deterrent to others likely to cause breach of peace.

I Want To Stay At Arsenal
Mesut Ozil says he wants to stay at Arsenal and will discuss his future with the club after a pre-season tour of Australia and China, BBC Sport reports.
The midfielder, 28, is under contract with Arsenal until 2018 but speculation over his future has been widespread.
“It is definitely my preference to stay,” the German said on Wednesday.
“Once everyone is back in London, we will sit down and discuss the future. I have always said that I feel very good at Arsenal.”
Arsenal face Sydney FC on Thursday and Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday before heading to China for two further games.
Arsene Wenger’s side meet Bayern Munich on July 19 in Shanghai and Chelsea on July 22 in Beijing before returning to England.
“For now the most important thing is our pre-season and getting through the tour, training and getting fitness,” added Ozil, who joined Arsenal from Real Madrid for £42.4m in 2013.
“I have always said that I feel very good at Arsenal.”
While Ozil appears keen to stay, the futures of Chile forward Alexis Sanchez and France striker Olivier Giroud remain less clear.
Giroud, 30, has been with Arsenal for five years but has been linked with moves to Premier League rivals Everton and West Ham.
“I’ve been through some difficulty this last year, but always succeed to bounce back,” said the former Montpellier forward.
“I’m still an Arsenal player and try to be professional like I always have done and to prepare well for the next season.”
Meanwhile, Sanchez has been linked with Manchester City.
“It would hit the team quite hard if he left because he is a player who always delivers,” said Ozil.
